RU šobrīd ir 17 okeāna klases ledlauži, US tikai 3, turklāt kamēr RU palielina militāro klātbūtni reģionā, US plāno to samazināt. Manuprāt  RU rosība Arktikā saistīta ar to, ka šajā reģionā tai ir neapšaubāmas priekšrocības un spēcīgas iestrādes, tādēļ izaicinot kādu uz sacensību  RU  ir tādas pašas izredzes vinnēt “bullīšos”, kā Girgensonam pret hokeja skolas pirmziemnieku.  Un atkal aktualizējas 2020.gads, kad visi gribēs izmantot Ziemeļu Jūras ceļu,  nudien tas būs interesants laiks.
