Graubem pēc pēdējās diskusijas kāds piegāja klāt un pajautāja, kas bija tie pārējie pretendenti uz kāpurķēžu iepirkuma troni?
Mīļākais komentārs:
“Have they checked the vehicle’s emissions reporting software?….”
man patika šis, jo LRV nav pilnvērtīga bruņa kājniekiem
I was a scout. Had M114s . gun jeeps, M113s, M551 Sharidens. and humvees. All had shortcommings. You actually need at least 3 separate vehicles. Anything designed for rough terrain won’t be good for MOUT. If you’re the point of the sword going into a big foreign country with the Big Red One behind you, you need an armored tracked vehicle. If you’re moving fast across open terrain only a helicopter will be superior to a dirt bike. It has to be flexible. If it doesn’t work in swamps the enemy will only fight you in swamps.
Why the complaints that it’s a tight squeeze for 6? There’s no reason to have more than 3 in a scout vehicle. I loved my M114. It had a crew of 3. Driver, TC, and observer. The rubber band track was quiet the silhouette was low, and the 20mm would dispatch any op***ing scout. an updated version would have room for the observer to employ drones.
Populārs formāts Eiropā, bet ne ASV. Viņiem visu vajag lielu.
