vara bungas: Pilnīgi adekvāta SE reakcija uz šo un to.

The Armed Forces has launched a contingency operation in the southeast and central Baltic Sea. The reason is the extensive military activities that are taking place in the Baltic Sea region.
We live in a turbulent time, the global security environment is undergoing many changes and we are seeing a deteriorating security situation in the immediate area.
- Extensive military operations are underway in the Baltic Sea region, both from Russia and the West, in a way that in some parts has not been experienced since the days of the Cold War, says the Swedish Armed Forces’ Chief of Operations Jan Thörnqvist.
The exercise activities are to a greater extent more complex and more rapid than before. The corona pandemic has also led to increased global concern and uncertainty. Overall, the situation is more unstable, more conflict-ridden and more difficult to predict. The current developments in Belarus remind us of this.
The focus of the contingency effort is to strengthen maritime surveillance in the Baltic Sea at sea and from the air. In addition, the military presence on Gotland is increasing.
– The Armed Forces has emergency operations around the clock, all year round and we make continuous assessments and adapt our operations to the prevailing situation. Some operations are visible while others are not, says Jan Thörnqvist.
The Armed Forces’ assessment is that the risk of a military attack on Sweden is currently low, but the unpredictable security situation in our immediate area places high demands on our accessibility and preparedness. We follow, we adapt and we choose methods in our way of meeting the world around us.
UPD1 SE izlūkošnas šefs
“ I have not experienced a similar increase in preparedness in the Swedish Armed Forces since the August coup in Soviet Union in 1991.”
UPD3 US notiek Republikāņu partijas kongress. Ar lūgtiem viesiem
UPD4 LT arī uzņem viesus
UPD5 SE arī uz`ņēma viesus. Tas jau ir nopietni. Ja kāds nezināja “The 67th SOS is tasked with flying single or multi-ship low-level air refueling missions for special operations helicopters, and infiltration, exfiltration, and resupply of special operations forces by airdrop or airland”
UPD6 Šis grupējums krietni pārsniedz sagaidāmā konflikta optimistisko mērogu, bet neapšaubāmi ir attūrēšanas signāls. Apmēram 10% no visiem USAF ierindā esošiem B-52H !
“Six B-52s trained alongside Royal Norwegian F-16s and F-35s in Northern Norway shortly after they deployed to Europe on Aug. 22.”
UPD7 Somi pamodās
From 7 to 11 September, the Army will organise altogether six local defence exercises in areas that cover several regions. In total, these exercises will involve circa 4,400 Finnish Defence Forces’ personnel, conscripts, reservists, as well as representatives of other authorities.
The training exercises will develop local defence readiness and combat capability, as well as inter-authority cooperation in rapidly evolving situations in all of Finland’s area. In addition, the exercises also serve in developing local units’ command, control and communications, as well as equipment.
UPD8 Droša pazīme, ka lieta nopietna. Var jau būt, protams, ka vnk patrulēšanas grafiks tā sakrita.
UPD9 Arī noder kā sveiciens RU
U.S. Navy’s most advanced attack submarine surfaced outside Tromsø
The USS Seawolf conducted a brief stop in the fjord near Tromsø on August 21 for personnel change before sailing out to waters inside the Arctic Circle.
UPD10 Neitrālie iziet jūrā
This exercise is preplanned among the other exercises between the two countries and it was accepted as an international exercise included in the 2020 programme by the Finnish Ministry of Defence.
Between 31 August and 3 September, a second phase focusing on naval surface warfare will be carried out in Hanö Bay. Three corvettes, a patrol vessel, two support vessels and helicopters from the Kallinge squadron are going to participate.
UPD11 Bezprecedenta izlūkošanas aktivitāte mūsu reģionā. Situācijas nopietnības nekļūdīgākais indikātors.
