own system can now be deployed in every combat
platoon (or even in every group), providing the ben-
efit of organic ISR at the platoon level, with real-
time imagery available of the immediate operating
environment (including, potentially, enemy force
dispositions).The provision of such an information
advantage in the observe, orient, decide and act cycle
is highly valuable. However, command structures
also need to be sufficiently devolved in order to make
